The short version
Roda de Altinha does not collect, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress lives only on your device.
What stays on your device
- Game progress: scores, stars, unlocked beaches and friends, stickers, chemistry, daily streak, saved almanac entries and settings.
- An optional face photo you choose for your player.
- A cached copy of the latest wind and swell report.
This data is stored in the app's private storage and in an App Group container that only the Roda de Altinha widget can read. We never receive it. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Reset progress, erases it.
Camera and photos
The camera and photo library are used only when you tap Camera or Photos: to put your face on your player, or to use a picture as a postcard background. Images are processed on your device. A photo leaves your device only if you share a postcard through the iOS share sheet, and it goes only to the destination you choose. Saving a postcard uses add-only access to your library.
Live beach conditions
If Live wind and swell is on, the app asks Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) for the current wind, temperature and waves at the eight beaches in the game, using their fixed coordinates. The request does not include your location, an identifier or any personal information. Like any web request, it reveals your IP address to Open-Meteo, which handles it under its own policy. You can turn this off in Settings.
Notifications
If you allow them, the app schedules local notifications on your device for the Tide of the Day and a streak reminder. No push service is used and nothing is sent to a server.

Children
The game is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
